Steps we take to protect our families, children, and staff during outbreaks of illness
To help keep everyone safe and healthy during times of increased illness in our community, we follow a number of precautionary measures at our centre:
- Parents are asked to drop off and collect their children from the front desk during outbreak periods.
- Temperatures are checked for all children and staff upon arrival.
- We encourage everyone — parents, children, and staff — to use hand sanitiser when entering the centre.
- Our staff maintain strict hygiene and cleaning routines throughout the day.
- Children are supported to wash their hands regularly, including before all meals, after toileting, and after using tissues.
- We include positive discussions and activities with the children about healthy hygiene habits.
- All staff complete professional development on managing illness and maintaining safe environments within our centre.
